The entry point from the Katagamuwa entrance offers two notable benefits. Firstly, this area retains its reputation for excellent leopard sightings, and the significantly shorter access time and distance present a considerable advantage. Moreover, any concerns about heavy traffic, particularly from the Palatupana side, tend to diminish as one approaches Talgasmankada. This alleviates the sensation of competing with other safari vehicles to reach prime areas. Secondly, in the evenings, proximity to Talgasmankada and Meda Para allows for a later departure, thereby enhancing the likelihood of encountering leopards.
